The apartment in a historic building in the center of Moscow, Russia, has become an experimental site for the design bureau «.dpt». The client wanted to rethink the interior of the apartment. The concept of the project is based on a combination of rhythmic straight lines, circles and waves. This approach refers to the work of the De Stijl group, which worked in Europe in the 1930s: the artists used an abstract composition as the basis of an architectural object and worked with a single form and color blocks. The apartment was divided into two parts: an area of a combined living and dining rooms and kitchen, and private spaces — an office and a bedroom with a dressing room and a bathroom. The core of the interior was a sky-blue design in the center of the first part. The bright orange color creates the necessary dynamics. Such details as a table lamp or a sink bring back to the 1970s.
