Geofage — a phenomenon of eating earth, clay, and chalk — has existed in different cultures of the world since ancient times. To date, various soil species have been found in Africa, Asia and South America and are marketed among other food products.

A museum of edible land connects a collection of edible soils from all over the world. In 2012, a Russian artist named Mashuru began collecting various soil samples around the world. The results of her research have now been presented at the centre of the creative industries of Fabrica, which is the subject of a catalogue.

The catalogue collects just over 100 species of land that can be found at the exhibition «Did You Ever Eat Land?» in the factory. All samples are assigned to the catalogue by color, from light to dark.

In addition to photographs of the land, the catalogue also includes photographs from Mashuru trips to unusual countries to buy land and learn about the culture of eating it.
