Alert: A handbag brand inspired by banned aesthetics

I realized that all the bags in mass-market stores look pretty much the same, while the unique designer bags cost a fortune. So, I came up with my idea for modular bags. The user will be able to choose the shape of the bag they want. In addition to the bags, I plan to create accessories themed around «forbidden items.» The main feature is that all the accessories can be used in practice: a flashlight can help you find what you need, and you can put plasters or pills in the first-aid kit.

I created three versions of bags for the first series. All the bags will feature an orange construction strap that will connect with a carabiner.

I 3D-printed a prototype of my bag. It successfully passed all the tests, and now no walk goes by without it.

The inspiration stemmed from a kinetic wall sculpture with an optical illusion, shaped like a trap, created by the American artist Ryan Kwande. That piece formed the foundation for my bag.

The cost of one bag is about 1,588 rubles. With a markup of 3.1, the margin will be 68%, making the final price of the bag 5,990 ₽.
