Apophenia—a series exploring how people search for meaning where none exists. We endlessly search for significance even in patently meaningless things if they resemble what we encounter every day. Psychiatry refers to the extreme form of this ability as apophenia: perceiving connections and meanings where they are absent. In its milder form, it is inherent to everyone. This series invites the viewer to catch themselves in this very search.
