The Kryptos 451 screen is designed for zoning in residential and public spaces. The designer, Olga Agrikova, was inspired to create it after visiting a cryptography museum and recalling childhood memories of punch cards and «coded messages.» The name of the screen is an echo of R. Bradbury’s dystopia, «Fahrenheit 451.» The screen’s prototype is an open book.
The project emphasizes the use of felt—a material traditional to Russian culture—combined with a frame made of natural wood.
The screen’s frame is crafted from solid oak, and the inserts are made of natural, off-white felt, which gives the piece a distinct softness and coziness. The entire piece is handmade, guaranteeing the uniqueness of every detail.
