In recent years, the aesthetics of backrooms have gained significant popularity in internet culture. Infinite corridors and empty spaces have transformed into a distinct visual phenomenon. This interest became the starting point for my research. I wanted to trace how the theme of liminal space manifested in cinema and how its perception has evolved over time. The project is based on an analysis of three films: «The Shining, ” „The Truman Show, ” and „The Backrooms.“
