The project is based on reimagining the familiar childhood image of the lamb, the one we habitually see before sleep. But what if one day the lamb finds itself inside the dream? In my project, it embarks on a journey across the night sky in search of its star.
The pillow becomes more than just a carrier of an image;
it becomes part of a story—this is where the dream begins,
where familiar images gain a life of their own.
techniques, dimensions, and display features
The work was executed using high-relief printing on linoleum. First, sketches were created on paper; then, the images were transferred to the linoleum, and subsequently, printing blocks were carved using specialized cutters. Typography ink was applied to the prepared blocks, and then the images were printed onto fabric pillowcases using a printing press.
Pillowcase dimensions: 35 × 35 cm Image size: 19 × 19 cm
The work consists of a series of six decorative pillows featuring original linocut prints. For exhibition, the pillows are arranged together to form a single composition. Each pillow is a standalone element of the series, yet all the images are unified by a common theme and visual style. The pieces do not require additional framing or ornamentation.
