Where does the road lead?

PROTECT STATUS: not protected

Every path has a beginning. But you don’t have to know where it will lead in advance.

The fork symbolizes a moment of choice, where a person is presented with several possible directions. The roads lead deep into the woods, obscuring what lies ahead. They remind us that the future is not always known in advance, and the chosen path does not necessarily have to be the only or predetermined one.

This work was completed as part of the social project «Not Yours?», which focuses on the influence of gender stereotypes on young women’s perceptions of suitable careers and their professional choices. The photograph serves as a visual metaphor for life’s journey: numerous paths symbolize the diversity of opportunities, and the fork in the road represents the right to choose one’s direction independently, without being constrained by external expectations.
