«Typing…» — a long-form study on how messenger interfaces create a sense of presence for the correspondent and influence the perception of their emotions and actions.
The study was further developed into the lenticular postcard «Between Us is a Screen.»
Concept
This project explores distance and intimacy in digital communication. When the postcard is tilted, two glowing circles gradually approach and merge into a single form, symbolizing the connection between people. The morphing effect transforms motion into a metaphor for communication: despite the physical distance and the screen separating us, we can feel each other’s presence.

Screens separate us physically,
yet simultaneously allow us to feel closer

The circle becomes a symbol of human presence in digital space. The raster recalls the structure of a screen, while soft color transitions convey a sense of emotional intimacy.

As the postcard tilts, the space between the objects gradually disappears
