A pet-sitting mobile application, «Tail Connected,» where the owner can see that the sitter is verified and knows in real time what is happening with the pet.
It is nearly impossible to go on vacation and not worry about your pet. When an owner needs to travel, they generally have three options: asking relatives, boarding the pet at a hotel, or finding a sitter online. Relatives have their own commitments; a kennel can be stressful for an animal; and a sitter is a stranger to whom you must entrust your pet’s life and your home keys. The main concern is uncertainty: who is this person, and how can I verify that my pet is okay right now? Who is our product for: city pet owners, aged 25–40, who frequently travel for vacations or business trips.
Demand is growing faster than the market can keep up. Pets are present in more than half of Russian households: 52% of Russians own a cat, and 36% own a dog, according to VCIOM. More and more owners require assistance with their care. In 2025, the number of pet service orders grew by 162% to reach 67 million, and the turnover of this market increased by 119% to $1.9 billion, according to ORO. Interest continues to rise: over one year, from February 2025 to February 2026, requests for pet care services increased by 39%, and demand is growing faster than new services are emerging, according to 2GIS and Profi.ru. This means we can say that people need this service, but the market is failing to meet the demand.
You see who you trust and know what’s happening at home
1. Sitter Passport. The profile details every stage of the vetting process: documents, psychological test, initial meet-and-greet with the pet, and pet first aid training. Instead of just a «Verified» badge, you see exactly what has been checked.
2. Meet Before Booking. A short video introduction between the sitter, the owner, and the pet.
3. Checklist Report. During the visit, the sitter checks off items: fed, litter box changed, medication administered—complete with photos and timestamps. The owner sees everything in their feed.
4. In-App Communication. Chat and calls; the history is saved in case of a dispute.

Why isn’t this available yet? Existing services help you find a person, but they don’t explain why you can trust them. The largest player, Dogsy, focuses on dogs; Dog Walkers are primarily in Moscow. However, cats are the majority of pets in Russia—about 67% (RBC/NeoAnalytics). In reviews of Dogsy, sitters complain that they were rejected without explanation, meaning the sitter vetting process is opaque.
What are we creating?
The «Tail On Call» service is a mobile application where pet owners and sitters connect.
Who is it for? Pet owners who are anxious about leaving their animals with a stranger.
How? Through a transparent sitter profile, checklist reports, and in-app communication.
Why? So the owner can leave with peace of mind, while the pet stays home in its familiar environment.
