A silver ring inspired by the plasticity and ornamental aesthetic of the traditional Adyghe instrument, the shichepshin. The piece combines an expressive sculptural form with laconic geometry and a contemporary interpretation of cultural heritage.
Earrings inspired by the form and acoustic aesthetics of the Adyghe musical instrument, the Shichepshin. The elongated silhouette with a graceful tapering resembles the instrument’s strings and stretched body. The teardrop base, featuring a large cutout, creates a striking contrast between the metal’s mass and the structure’s visual lightness. Fine indentations along the top form a rhythmic ornamentation that references the musical structure and the movement of sound.

Fabrication
Applying CAD modeling ensures design accuracy, allows for dimensional changes without recreating the model, and provides a preliminary estimate of metal weight. The 3D printing of sacrificial molds allows the developed geometry to be translated into a casting form, and precision casting yields a metal blank with minimal assembly operations. For a ring, a single cast structure is planned; for earrings, two-part casting followed by the installation of fasteners; and for a pendant, artistic casting with additional engraving.
