«I really love fishing. Since childhood, my grandfather and I went fishing on the Amur River, and there were even times when I caught more than him—though rarely. But the best part was that the fish didn’t get squished. Because when we went berry or mushroom picking, my grandfather’s basket stayed perfect, but mine would get crushed—and I would bring home not mushrooms, but mushroom porridge. I put the fish in the basket, and they don’t get mashed. It’s convenient.»
2/ My Grandma Lyusya and the «Amurskie Uzory» Factory, Blagoveshchensk
My grandmother, Lyusya, worked at the «Amur Patterns» factory in Blagoveshchensk for many years—first as a technologist, and later as chief engineer. According to her stories, they manufactured bags, bedding, and rugs—the product line was very wide.
