Concept:
In this series, the jewels resemble candy, and the candy resembles jewels. The starting point was the fairy tale «Hansel and Gretel,» where pebbles shimmer like silver coins, and the house made of sweets is more enticing than any treasure. Caramel and gemstones switch roles: lollipops hold rings as if they were settings, and stones get lost among candies of the same color. The idea is expressed through translucent sugar and faceted stones of a single hue, glossy highlights, a pure white background, and a bright, vibrant palette.The project captures the moment when it is impossible to say what you are looking at—a confection or a treasure.
