«Storm Sea Voyage» is a 30×40 cm lamination, based on a digital illustration inspired by my senior thesis. It depicts a scene from the larger world and narrative of my thesis animation—a night sea during a storm, with someone navigating through an unforgiving element. The combination of warm red tones against a somewhat unsettling subject creates a sense of transcendence—hope in the face of danger—while the non-contextual action gives off a subtle esoteric feeling.
