The concept for the «ZTLI» project (from the Dutch word for «sail») is rooted in the image of a sail and the maritime history of St. Petersburg, which is tied to Peter the Great, the development of the fleet, and shipbuilding. The sail is examined not as a literal image of a ship, but as a symbol of the city’s progress and its aspiration toward new connections and possibilities. This image is reinterpreted within modern furniture through its form, construction, and materials.

Form generation is built upon the interaction between a rigid framework and a light, curved plane, reminiscent of a sail pulled by the wind. Simple geometric volumes lie at the core of the form.
