CONCEPT
The piece accompanies a Malaysian dance. It begins calmly, but as time progresses, the dance builds momentum, reaching its first climax… Everything begins to subside, but this is only a prelude to the second climax. After the colorful performance, the melody slowly fades.
STRUCTURE
The tool consists of three adjustable audio tracks and two buttons that emit a short, non-looped sound for accents.
SOUNDING
Given the concept’s grounding in Malaysian culture and music, the synthesizer utilized drum and clap sounds. It was important not to overload the soundscape, but rather to maintain clear, crisp claps as the foundation.
Sounds used: 1 variation of a muffled drum 3 variations of cymbals 3 variations of a resonant drum 1 variation of a handclap
By the end of the year, add two buttons to the prototype that emit accent sounds. Modify the code so that the sound tracks appear according to the Figma mockup.
