A series of magnets made from recycled plastic, based on the markings of various plastic types.Each magnet replicates the recycling symbol along with the material number and its letter designation.
Concept
Plastic marking is used not only as a technical designation but also as the basis for the object’s visual identity.A magnet literally shows what material it is made from.
Materials
Recycled plastic of various types is used for production. The plastic is shredded, melted, and molded into colorful panels with a variegated texture.
Construction
The magnet consists of two layers: a black base and a colored overlay with a cut-out recycling symbol.The contrast between the two layers ensures the marking remains highly legible and becomes the primary graphic element.
Prototypes
The series features options marked with HDPE and PS. The texture of each magnet differs due to color blending and the unique characteristics of recycled plastic.
