Concept
The concept is built around a state of derealization—a moment when the familiar physical world loses its density, detaches from the observer, and begins to resemble the set of another world or planet. The photograph does not capture a specific landscape, but rather an internal sensation of detachment from it. Initially, this photograph was meant to be more vibrant, featuring pink water in a lake; however, encountering the reality of the lake having dried up created a new idea. This seemingly faded rosy tint becomes the main metaphor for the state of derealization itself: when the world around you seems to exist, yet simultaneously doesn’t.

Pink Lake
Here, the split frame in the middle plays a vital role in creating a division or fragmentation of perception. It is a visual boundary between the physical presence of the body in space and its mental absence from it.

Exhibition Example
For a complete immersion in this state, the format plays a significant role, so the finished photograph will be 100 cm by 150 cm. The print-ready file can be found in the «Shamadikova Bayrta» temp folder.
