The photograph captures an old wooden door with peeling turquoise paint and graffiti, surrounded by stonework and geometric tile. The combination of textures, inscriptions, and signs of wear reflects the layered history of the place and the presence of the people who interacted with it.

The combination of all elements in the photograph transforms a fragment of the urban environment into a testament to human presence. The work captures the spontaneous appropriation of space alongside long-term wear, thereby preserving the visual imprint of human interaction with the surrounding world.
The 40×60 cm format allows the documentary nature of the image to be preserved while emphasizing surface detail. Printing on glossy acrylic lends materiality to the image, distinguishing it from the conventional photograph and transforming it into an independent exhibition object.

As part of the diploma project «Archive of Presence, ” photography becomes a visual testament to human interaction with the surrounding world. It preserves traces that may disappear under the influence of time or changes in the urban environment, showing how even inconspicuous objects become carriers of history.
